This is the second volume of transcribed interviews about the poet Dylan Thomas. Journalist, broadcaster, and author Colin Edwards interviewed numerous sources close to Thomas for a planned biography of the poet, but he was unable to begin work before his early death. The transcribed tapes have been edited into two collections. This volume contains interviews with Fred Janes, Mably Owen, Vernon Watkins, Glyn Jones, and the villagers of Dylan's stomping grounds of New Quay, South Leigh, and Laughern, as well as with many others, including Dylan's friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.
Recent developments in the breeding of the Queen of the Borders has meant that they are now suitable for even the smallest gardens. They require little attention, thrive in any soil type and provide a colourful display throughout the growing season. This manual is a guide to all aspects of growing and showing, including history, raising from seeds and seedlings, routine care and exhibition, plus an up-to-date list of species and cultivators. Outstanding varieties are recommended for garden, show bench and floral display.

Cancer is a killer. It stormed onto the scene, showing no remorse. Colin and his family were no match for what they were up against. Face to face with tragedy, they were left with a choice. Would they cower down and "hang on tight," hoping the inevitable passed them by? Or, in the midst of adversity, would they rise up and overcome what was meant to destroy them? In his inspiring book, Colin invites you into his own journey and, from his own experience, walks you through: - Developing a lifestyle of intimacy with the Holy Spirit. - Discovering God's viewpoint on your circumstances. - Remaining unmoved when tragedy strikes. - Finding eternal victory through Jesus Christ. Just when cancer thought it had won, it fell in defeat. This is not a story of despair, or sorrow, or even death. This is a story of joy, of hope, and of victory. This is the story cancer could never tell.
âWorlds Apartâ is a story of passion, conviction and survival in a time of persecution and intolerance, a story of faith in God in extremely difficult circumstances.âWorlds Apartâ describes the social background to these dramatic events through the daily life of a family suffering loss of work, eviction, social isolation and absolute poverty. Desperation led to thoughts of emigration to a âNew Worldâ. This is an illuminating insight into the lives of a pioneer family who were significant in the development of New-found-land.
