Sexually Speaking by J. Davis Mannino is an interactive "hands on" workbook that challenges students to re-evaluate their own thoughts and feelings about sexuality. Students are encouraged to use critical thinking skills, synthesize related concepts and learning, and explore their own thoughts regarding sexuality throughout the course of the workbook. The workbook has been designed to act as a supplement to any one of the major human sexuality textbooks, as the base for a self-paced study project, as a reference guide, or it can be the main text for a course when combined with a professor's lecture notes. Thorough coverage of many issues surrounding human sexuality combined with thought-provoking exercises make this workbook a terrific addition to the human sexuality field.

By examining the highly contested legal debate about the regulation of pornography through an epistemic lens, this book analyzes competing claims about the proper role of speech in our society, pornography's harm, the relationship between speech and equality, and whether law should regulate and, if so, upon what grounds. In maintaining that inegalitarian pornography generates discursive effects, the book contends that law cannot simply adopt a libertarian approach to free speech. While inegalitarian pornography may not be determinative of gender inequality, it does contribute, reinforce, reflect and help maintain such unfairness. As a result, we can place reasonable gender-based regulations on inegalitarian pornography while upholding our most treasured commitments to dissident speech just as other liberal democracies with strong free speech traditions have done. --Stephen Macedo, Princeton University
This work explores how films tell stories about sexual experiences. Oz, in this exploration, does not refer to the movie's fantasy world but to the moviegoer's response to that world of glamourised sexual practices. It provides an extensive coverage of sexual dramatisations, including movies concerned with conception, abortion, gender, love, marriage, adultery, sexual coercion, and AIDS.
