The Iceberg Principles

The Iceberg Principles connect spirituality and science in a way that proves that the energy, which is the substance of the Universe, really is Love - not sweet, syrupy, candy-and-roses kind of love but the most powerful force in the Universe. Love without expression is meaningless. This is why the Big Bang was the only logical outcome. Love had to become reflected in dimensionality. With the Big Bang a 4:96 ratio was created between the dimensional and non-dimensional realms. This ratio between visibility and invisibility, the ratio of an iceberg, also applies to human beings. Only four percent of who we are is visible. Our physical DNA describes us but it does not define us. What defines us are our characteristics, our gifts, talents and strengths - the spiritual DNA. This is invisible but makes up ninety-six percent of who we are. Our talents are not accidental; our life purpose is to express them. Just as the Universe emerges into dimensionality, constantly creating galaxies at millions of miles a minute, we are meant to emerge. We exist to express our gifts and talents in the world. In fact, it is the only way we can ever be fulfilled. We have a need to leave our mark. For us to be happy as human beings we must have impact. Without it we are out of sync, out of integrity with our being. This is painful. It is the cause for depression, anxiety and the emotional pain that underlies addiction and disease. This is the root of every problem we are facing in the world today. With the expression of our gifts we come into alignment with our soul and we step into the universal flow. All the things we so desperately chase - happiness, affluence, health and love become quite naturally a part of our experience. There is nothing we can do to get these things. We must be in alignment to experience them. There are many new and ancient practices that allow us to discover what lies beneath, to make contact with our higher self, and to connect the four percent with the ninety-six percent to become whole. www.MarniSpencerDevlin.com www.TheIcebergPrinciples.com

Principles of Risk Based Decision Making

Principles of Risk Based Decision Making

Principles of Risk Based Decision Making

Principles of Risk-Based Decision Making provides managers with the foundation for creating a proactive organizational culture that systematically incorporates risk into key decision-making processes. Based on methodology adopted by a number of organizations including the federal government, this book examines risk-based decision making as a process for organizing information about the possibility for unwanted outcomes in a simple, practical way that helps decision makers make timely, informed management choices that minimize harmful effects on safety and health, the environment, property loss, or mission success. Citing practical examples, charts, and checklists, the authors break the risk-based decision making process into five key components: establishing the decision structure, performing the risk assessment, managing sufficient risks, monitoring effectiveness of adopted risk controls through impact assessment, and facilitating risk communication. They examine each component in detail and outline available decision analysis and risk assessment tools that aid in each of these risk-based decision making functions. This book also walks readers through eight project management steps—from scoping a risk assessment to evaluating the recommendations—the components of each, and the importance of these steps to the success of a risk assessment. Special features include a table for applying the risk-based decision-making process, a hazard identification guidesheet, an example of human error, an acronym list, and a glossary.

Modern Principles of Economic Mechanics Vol 1

Currently, economics and cognitive science are heavily rooted in Newtonian physics, successfully borrowing a great deal of modeling tools from it. This is a great achievement. You do not need quantum mechanics or theories of relativity to build a house or bridge. Neverth less, no one would deny the importance of modern theoretical physics. I believe many intellectuals have realized the need to go beyond the limitations of the Newtonian tradition for means of social science research. the big question is how to do it and how to do it right. This book aims to integrate economics and cognitive science by applying theoretical physics from a modeling perspective. During the course of this book, necessary background knowledge preparations for understanding the content topics are also briefly provided. Thus, this book is designed to be conceptually and instrumentally self-contained. Everyone interested should be able to read it.
